short film – 9min – near future sci fi

“Memories are our most valuable possession and make us who we are.” That’s how the commercials for the Memory Company advertise it in 2075. With new technology, people can extract memories and have others implanted in them—giving memories monetary value. By purchasing other people’s memories, people can even expand their memories to include experiences that are far removed from their actual reality. The embrace of a father you never knew, a happy romantic relationship, a daring journey: which memories are truly valuable to us?
As the leader of a petty criminal gang, Jay breaks into a memory shop with her friends Marcy and Fynn. There, however, she accidentally comes across a memory that changes everything for her.
